Batt Insulation
Southern Foam installs batt insulation to both residential and commercial clients in Orlando, as well as throughout the entire state of Florida. Batt insulation is one of the most traditional forms of insulation, and has been proven effective for insulating objectives in homes, buildings, and other structures for more than a half-century.
Batt insulation is a flexible, fiberglass insulation that provides an R-value range from 11 to 38. It is generally manufactured at a thickness of approximately 3" to 12". Batt insulation has many diverse applications, but is primarily used in exterior walls and roof (attic) applications, for both residential and commercial use. It can be installed between furring strips, and also in metal or wood spaces in walls and attics. Batt insulation covers a wide range of R-values, and as such, can meet nearly any thermal specification provided by your architect or contractor. At Southern Foam Insulation, we work closely with architects and contractors to achieve the required specifications in the most cost-effective way possible, while still achieving the insulation objectives of the project owner. Another important benefit of batt insulation is providing acoustical control to the homeowner or building owner. It is an excellent noise control material, and when properly installed in the attic/ceiling or walls, it is very effective at improving the Sound Transmission Class (STC) of these areas and living spaces. This is a great benefit for a family, as well as an office environment. And at Southern Foam, we know the proper installation process to ensure the owner receives maximum benefit for their investment.
